Whisky & Gin Distilleries near Dalmunzie

Dalmunzie Estate in North Perthshire is located literally in the heart of Scotland. Surrounding the estate are a few villages at a minimal driving distance of 20 minutes. If you would like to explore the world of a wee dram in person then we enthusiastically recommend the following:

Persie

Just down the A93 from Dalmunzie is the small, privately run, Persie Gin Distillery. In their bespoke copper pot still, they create 3 distinct aromatic gins, distilled with pure glen water.

A Persie gin tasting makes a perfect Hen or Stag party event.

Dalwhinnie

Dalwhinnie Distillery stands in the Cairngorm National Park at the heart of the Scottish Highlands in the village of Dalwhinnie. From this remote but accessible location comes our Dalwhinnie 15 year old single malt scotch whisky.

Blair Athol

The distinctive taste of Bell's comes from bringing together a select blend of grain and fine malt whiskies, all matured in selected oak casks for a richer flavour.

Edradour

A Warm Welcome to Edradour, world renowned as the smallest traditional distillery in Scotland and arguably the most unique. Dating back to 1825, Edradour, stands alone as the last stronghold of handmade single malt whisky from a farm distillery still in production today

Royal Lochnagar

Neighbouring Balmoral Castle, Royal Lochnagar is the perfect place to discover how Scotch Whisky is made. Watch as our team of operators tend to our traditional mashtun, gleaming copper stills and fill casks at our traditional distillery, which retains much of its original charm. The tour ends with a dram of the award-winning Royal Lochnagar 12 Year Old Single Highland Malt.

Incredible week. Started thinking we hadn't enough jumpers and by the end of the week we were sunburnt! Now I remember why the glen so inspired me all those years ago when working here in Denis Winton's day. Was so pleased to see bits of the train here as my partner didn't believe me! I was so chuffed that I still managed to clear the river on the 1st and the 7th on the golf course - shame I'm useless at putting. I'm not a golfer but here is special. Also saw more deer than I have ever seen - two herds of around 100 in each. Such a viewing spot!
